Bellevue Clinic does not care for the patient and is only in the money making business now.
The ICU is in a very poor condition. Too many patients in one common ICU, no separate environment for critical patients, glass shards lying on floor, nurses oblivious to patients condition and are negligent and incompetent. Nurses care for money only as I myself experienced the nurse asking for money while attending to the patient. Nurses are cold and don't show any signs of compassion while cleaning the patient or changing their dressing. Too many visitors keep flocking the ICU spreading germs and infection. The sanitizers were almost always empty and there was just one sanitizer outside ICU. Nowhere else in hospital. No Nurse during late night hours. All patients completely unattended.
Doctors visit only for 5 minutes, say condition is improving once and then it is deteriorating. Keep the relatives of the patient in dark. There is no special care at all for critical patients. Doctors are least worried about patients. We ourselves saw one doctor collecting his payment first from the counter before attending the patient. I am not reviewing this because I lost my loved one but because I want other patients to be safe, other people to fully know the hospital before they take their loved ones to Bellevue. The one who I lost was not at all in a bad condition when we took them to Bellevue. Here their condition became from bad to worse and eventually they lost their life. They wanted to live so much more.
How much longer will we continue to turn a blind eye to towards these hospitals that were once good but have become commercial. Doctors know very well that their blunders will go unnoticed since people with no medical background dont understand anything. We just blindly accept what the doctors do in the hope that what they are doing will be right whereas the reality is that doctors dont care. Making sure nurses are doing their job, are aware of patients condition, visitors are not allowed in are also doctors responsibility. After all they carry the most weightage in a hospital.
We must make sure such hospitals dont get NABH accreditation. That they are heavily penalized for failure to obey rules and maintain a hospital like environment.
If you truly care for your loved one, dont take them to bellevue.
