Eyes are the doorway to our outer world, hence it is recommended to close your eyes while meditating. Seeing is one of the most important senses, and it takes time and practice to keep them closed for longer time. However, if you have any discomfort closing your eyes and meditating, try to light up a candle and meditate on the light with your eyes open.
